Bill Perry grew up on the Connecticut and New Jersey coasts. He attended St. Michaels College, Winooski, VT and received a BA in Business. Migrating west to Boulder, CO in Feb of 1981, Perry first fished the Eagle and enjoyed skiing Vail in April that same year. While in Boulder, he worked for a rapidly expanding conveyor engineering company as a senior sales engineer and traveled extensively throughout the western US. In 1992 Perry founded Fly Fishing Outfitters which moved from his garage in Edwards to the store's current location in Avon in Feb of 1994. FFO was a winner of the Orvis Outfitter of the Year in 1997 and Guide of the Year in 2000. Perry is a member of the National Freshwater Fisheries Hall of Fame and holds an International Game Fish Association World Record. He is the owner of several Colorado Master Angler Awards. He has made several appearances on national, regional and local television shows. Colorado Mountain College has been home to his fishing and fly tying schools for the past ten years. In 1995 he began what has become a nationally recognized guiding school and rowing certification program, held annually each Spring in Avon. He sold Fly Fishing Outfitters business and commercial property in December 2006. Perry is an active board member for the Eagle River Watershed Council, a group dedicated to the protection of our local rivers. At home he is kept busy with son Patrick age 17 and daughter Kristine age 15. His hobbies include skiing, golf, fishing and watching his sons and daughter's lacrosse and soccer games. Perry's enthusiasm, winning attitude and knowledge of the local real estate market make him a real estate professional you will like and trust.
